Description

Gas Meter Simulator — HazMat Training Tool Gas Meter Simulator turns two iPhones into a complete HazMat gas meter training system. The instructor controls realistic sensor readings in real time while the trainee operates a simulated multi-gas instrument — no physical equipment required. Realistic Multi-Gas Simulation Simulate 12 sensors found in professional multi-gas instruments: O2, LEL, CO, H2S, VOC, SO2, NH3, Cl2, HCN, NO2, PH3, and CO2. Sensor readings respond to vapor density physics, heavy gases like Cl2 and SO2 read higher near the floor, while lighter gases like NH3 concentrate near the ceiling, just like in the field. Instructor Control The instructor sets sensor values, triggers alarms, and adjusts readings in real time from their own device. Control how many sensors are active, set low and high alarm thresholds, and introduce TWA and STEL alarm conditions to build recognition skills under pressure. Peer-to-Peer Connection Instructor and trainee connect directly over Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework. No internet connection required. No data leaves the two devices. Training Library (Subscription) Subscribe to access a growing library of scenarios based on real-world HazMat incidents — chlorine releases, natural gas leaks, industrial chemical spills, and more. Each scenario includes pre-loaded sensor readings, predicted hazards, response actions, PPE selection, decontamination procedures, notifications, reportable quantities, and learning objectives. New scenarios are published weekly. Subscribers also get access to the full scenario library from any browser at praxistrainingllc.com/members. Built for Professionals Designed for HazMat technicians, firefighters, emergency management personnel, and industrial safety teams. Ideal for recruit training, refresher drills, and tabletop exercises when live equipment isn't available. Privacy The app collects no personal information. Peer-to-peer session data stays on your devices. Subscription access is managed with an anonymous device token — no account, no email, no login.
