It combines vintage tape behavior with modern recording workflows, minus broken belts, dirty heads, and finding out your favorite cassette got eaten. TAPE CHARACTER CONTROLS Five sliders. Five ways to ruin perfection. Push the input gain into the red. Add Tape Wear for softened highs and tired old cassette energy. Drive Saturation for harmonic grit and glue. Introduce Wow & Flutter for subtle instability and capstan wobble. And change Tape Speed from 0.5x to 2.0x, with pitch following along as real tape would. Digital audio has spent decades trying to eliminate these things. We put them back. TWO TAPE FORMULATIONS Ferric (Type I): warm, bass-heavy, beautifully imperfect.
