Description

Whirr puts your AI coding agent's status right where you're already looking — in the space under your MacBook's notch. When Claude Code or Codex is working, a small pill appears under the notch showing what it's doing in real time: • Thinking • Reading AppDelegate.swift • Editing main.go • Running npm test • Responded Click the pill on "Responded" to jump straight back to the terminal that started the turn. Drag it up to minimize into two small wings flush against the notch — out of the way but still indicating activity. Whirr does one thing well, then gets out of your way. KEY FEATURES • Real-time activity tracking for Claude Code and Codex sessions • Click-to-focus: jump back to the terminal that fired the agent • Minimalist mode: barely-visible wings instead of the full pill • Drag to dismiss; auto-returns on next event • Configurable per-display (built-in, external, or all screens) • Optional soft chime when the agent finishes responding • URL scheme (whirr://activity?...) so any other tool can push status PRIVACY 100% local. No telemetry, no analytics, no network requests. Whirr only reads the session log files you explicitly grant access to via the macOS file picker. Nothing leaves your Mac. REQUIREMENTS • macOS 15.6 or later • MacBook with notch recommended (the HUD lives under the notch cutout); works on other Macs but visually optimized for notched displays
